Happy 2009 everyone! I'm sorry I've left this so late. How was everyone's Christmas? Was it white? Grey? Pink with blue polkadots? I'd love the latter, but according to my box of Derwent watercolours, mine was more like French Grey. Still OK though, it snowed today to make up for it! But more on that later. My birthday was actually more of a blast than I'd expected. I got absolute looooads of stuff for Crimbo/birthday/New Year, mostly little, homely, heartwarming gifts that were absolutely delightful (do I sound like an Oxfam advert?)! Frankly, I didn't expect so much. I feel luuurved. I think they deserve their own post, personally. My birthday was spent at home with the family, but I had a birthday meal with the skating girls on New Year's day, which was quite fun. The restaurant (Haha Bar & Grill, anyone?) was surprisingly empty but really cosy inside, with a ceilingscraper Christmas tree that reminded me so much of that scene in Hogsmeade in the third Harry Potter film (which I watched on Christmas day and absolutely adored).
I'm going to do a more decent-sized post later this week, when I get a moment, but right now a quick vomit of news (ewwww):
Uno: My sister and I have *deep breath* passports! Finally, after a massive legal mash-up that threatened our family being deported back to Israel which lasted 2 years and made our family life very unpleasant... I can now go on holiday and legally work!
Dos: I have a job! Yes, I have a job! Money! The downsi----er, it's a hoovering job.
Tres: I am happy. Which is making me happy.
I would like to say that the title of this post isn't accidental. With the new year already ahead of us, many people want to start afresh and are making new years resolutions...But actually, you don't have to wait until a certain day to turn your life around. You can do it now, today, tomorrow. That's what I want my 2009 to be like. Doing things at the right time, and never, ever wasting time. I am closing the door to bad past, and I'm not coming back.

Yay! Welcome back, I'm glad you had a wonderful Christmas/Birthday/New Year. I am guessing the legal trouble was what was bothering you? I'm glad you could start your year stress free. I agree with you on the New Years Resolutions, I am starting over again too, leaving all the bad stuff in the past and I'm just going to live better, in general.
