Ascott House

You may argue that 'Ascott House' is a misleading title, since there is not a house in sight in this post. While this may appear to be the case, the grounds of the house were far more deserving to be captured; especially since I don't care much for snooty National Trust ladies (really, is 4 to a room quite enough?!) whispering at me through their teeth to "not touch" (I didn't know you could 'touch' with your eyes!) and attempting to drill holes in me with their eyes. I'm far more flabbergasted by the great British countryside, and at Ascott the grounds filled with daffodils were a phenomenal sight. Oh wait, no daffodils pictured either. I rest my case.

  1. I love the colour of this skirt! I would certainly like the grounds of a house much better as well if the house were filled with snooty old ladies like those. :)

  8. Argh, I hate guides who are so bossy or follow you around as if you were a pet about to misbehave. The nicest guides I ever met were at Sir John Soane's museum in London. Lots of funny stories and they show you 'secret' exhibits if you ask. :)

How do you tie your shirt? I've always wanted this sort of look but I can't seem to wear a long shirt without looking dumpy! :D

  11. I love your clutch and those shoooooes! Can't believe they were both thrifted!
In response to your comment on my post about Gillian Zinser, to be honest I haven't watched it in quite a while (I need to have a catching up marathon!) and when she first appeared she was a lot more casual and surfer-girl than Zinser's own style. I assume Zinser has influenced the character's wardrobe throughout the series so that their styles are more similar now than they used to be?

  12. I love your bag! Ascott House looks gorgeous too, well the grounds anyway, but who cares about the house - you can't take outfit photos in there anyway!
